  At Pirate Wind Turbines, we’re developing small-wind technology to make wind power more useful in real-world applications. Five years of development. A year of major progress. Now we’re looking for the right pilot partners.


Over the past year, our work has included:

• A redesigned alternator, focused on better performance, lower weight, and lower    manufacturing costs.
• Progress on EarlyVolt™ technology, designed to help turbines begin producing usable power at lower wind speeds.

• Completion of StableVolt™ control programming to manage output voltage as wind conditions change and sometimes get extreme.
• Local Wi-Fi monitoring and adjustments from a smartphone, while standing safely on the ground.


Our next step is field testing with companies that can help evaluate performance in practical applications: telecommunications, water pumping, portable power trailers, agriculture, grid-tie and off-grid energy.


We’re seeking partners willing to help support testing and explore the commercial opportunity. Successful pilots may open the door to negotiated, industry-specific exclusive sales or licensing arrangements.
